comings and goings...

I am still here. I have journal pages to photograph and share and things to do. I am behind on "Good Stuff" and my "pay it forward" drawing. Bottom line is, I am sick.. again. I am so pissed. I was finally feeling better and had my energy back and BAM. Coughing, sinus pain, lack of sleep, general irritability. GRRRRR
The next couple of days will be spent packing a shipping all the boxes for the Hippity Hop Easter Swap and continuing work on the website I have been working on with Brian. Since the cat is out of the bag, I can share that we are currently at work on a new web presence for Cerri of The Little Pink Studio.
As far as the swap goes, there is a STACK of boxes in my entry way. We can barely get in the house these days so I am glad (and I am sure my husband is SUPER glad) that they will winging their way to new homes soon. Since this group is so large I started a flickr group for sneak peeks and reveals as opposed to trying to keep up on the 12 Days Blog. Pop in and take a look if you are feeling so inclined. The picture above is a peek of Holly's goodies. They are delightful!

Easter Swap Info...

I have been working on the list for the Easter Swap so I don't get too behind after the deadline of Jan 7th (4 more days!) If you have signed up but have not sent me your mailing info please so ASAP so I can add you. If you do not have your contact info by the deadline I will be forced to drop you from my list. I had originally planned to host a Valentine's Countdown swap similar to the 12 Days swap I did for Christmas, but time got away from me and I have decided to do an Easter themed swap instead. This actually appeals to me more because I love bunnies... heehee. This swap is open to participants who will be grouped together for a countdown style swap...

I'm really here...

Hi all, I am not hiding. I am really still here. Everything is ok I am just behind. Portals has been a mess since Joleen has gone into hiding. I am trying to sort things out and get the Eye Candy issues printed so I can mail them. We had to order a new part for the printer and are waiting on that, I am sorry! To those of you who have graciously offered their help in the other Portals related matter, if I have not contacted you, I will!! Special thanks to dear Tracie for already jumping in with 2 feet and her copy of Photoshop to continue on with issue #5 and to the fabulous Kim for her ideas and email full of links to help flesh the issue out.

We had a nice Easter. The weather was very cooperative and we had a delicious dinner. The kiddies had fun hunting Easter eggs and it was just plain nice to have a relaxing day to visit with family all together.

Not a whole lot new to report. I am feeling the spring cleaning urge beyond the former remains of my backyard. In the last couple weeks we have hoed, raked, cut, chopped, bagged, planted watered etc. And now we are planning the next phase but first we have to get rid of the tree we cut down on Saturday. Poor dead tree... :(

My next task is to attack the little's room. Its always hard to do the great toy purge, especially when they are around. My babe is a smart cookie and comes up with all sorts of reasons why we should keep every little thing. I may have to stealthily pack stuff up. At this moment I am still overwhelmed at attacking her room so I am allowing myself to approach it with my rule of 5.. which is to allow myself to just toss 5 things a day until I feel like I can tackle more.. or get into it enough to throw away 10 or 15 things!!! Wish me luck!

Ok, I am obviously rambling about nothing here. I promise more ArtFest stuff soon. I still am having internet issues and have been reduced to this:
yeah, 100 feet of ethernet cable to drag around with my laptop.. kind of defeats the whole purpose.. -sigh-

Internet woes

Grrr, can't blame a girl for trying to save a buck or $25 a month.
Had to change some stuff with AT&T and the guy said, "hey you could save all this money by changing your static IPs to dynamic." I figured that since we don't host a server anymore, ok, sounds good. NOT!
I can get online by sitting in a teeny corner of my studio plugged into the ether net but none of the other computers can get on nor the wireless. Great.. Combined, Greg & I probably spent about 3 hours with their tech support ( idiots) and got no where so we are switching BACK to the other kind which won't go into effect until next week. Uggh.
So anyway, in the meantime, I won't be online much until it switched back over but if I find a few quiet minutes I will post a new ArtFest chapter with more pictures. Until then, have a great weekend and a lovely Easter!

eggs in my basket

Ok, I admit it, I have a short attention span. My Mom jokes that I should change my website name to S.A.S.S. = Short Attention Span Studios. Maybe I should....

I SHOULD be working on ArtFest trades and Portals v 5 ( I have been.. but you know what they say about all work and no play...) but I am addicted to eggs!! I made several more paper egg ornaments today and listed some on my Etsy shop. I need to mail a couple off to people I owe art to. I am not telling which ones I am mailing- surprise! I want to make more!! Do you think there is a market for eggs all year around?? Maybe I should find some other shapes to experiment with. Maybe I should try to work bigger.. maybe I should get back to work and let you just LOOK!
