pay it forward...

I recently was chosen to be the recipient of this lovely ATC by my Flickr pal, Jennifer Conway in a pay it forward type drawing. She offered three of her ATCs to lucky drawing winners and in exchange asked that the winners offer up a mini drawing of their own. I am only too happy to follow through with that request and so if you are interested in winning one of MY ATCs pictured below, please leave a comment on this post and also be willing to offer up 3 of your own on your blog. Oh also be sure I can contact you.

I got back into the studio this week and have been playing with a lot of my scraps. I did an entry in Kim's Alphabetica book and it inspired me to bust out the hot pot and use some beeswax. I just LOVE the smell and the ethereal look it can give the final piece. I used it on my 3 give away ATCs as well as her page, "C is for caged."

A little off topic now, the packages for the Hippity Hop Easter Swap are starting to come in now. Its fun to see the whimsically wrapped gifts. I started a flickr group for the swap in case anyone wants to see sneak peeks or reveals. And if I wasn't insane enough with this swap I am already hatching another idea in my head.. NO it won't be a 12 Days styled swap. No way baby, no how! Oh! I almost forgot, I wanted to share this darling little paper bag album that one of the gals sent me as a hostess gift. How sweet. I just adore it! Look at that face!! Thanks Nola!
Ok, I am off to bling my cell phone with my new leopard print skin.. woohoo.

quickie post

Its been HOT here and I am pooped but I have managed to find a burst of creative energy to finish up several things on my TO DO list. One of them is to add lots of new goodies to my Etsy shop.. there are still more to come but I got kind of bored writing the same things over and over. I wish you could just save an item profile and use it over again. oh well. In addition to several new jars, including some new birdies, I have added some very fun supplies with more to come.

I have also been churning out pages for Portals as the last of the tutorials come in. I just did a layout of another fab article from Alma. Her stuff is always so fun and I love working with her.

Finally, I got 2 of the three RR things I had sitting here mailed and well into my Alphabetica spread in Laura's book. She chose a fun theme of vintage ladies using old calling cards and such and I thought it fitting to use an old photo of my fabulous Gramma. Here is an in progress picture. I stalled at first but now I love the way its going and I am getting to use LOTS of glitter :) (Laura, don't peek if you want to ruin it)

baby vs door

Poor peanut ran head long into the edge of the bedroom door on Sunday. This is what her forehead looks like today. Ugh, I hate it.. I am so glad she has bangs to cover it up out in public.

In other news..
here is my layout for Sue's Alphabetica book that has been haunting me and taunting me for the last month. I don't know why I had such a hard time with it. The "theme" of the book is Play on Words and I used a favorite quote but still I struggled. In the end, I just took Sue's advice and played.. so here is my layout.

Follow Your Dreams

I have had a couple of the Alphabetica books sitting here for a couple of weeks but have finished my entry into Beth's. Hers was pretty loose on theme so I kind of just went for it with no real focus. I love aqua blue and brown as many of you might remember, so it was a logical color choice. I hope you like it Beth!!
