wishes of HOPE

Last month husband and wife, Christian and Stephanie Nielson, of Mesa, Arizona were in a private plane crash along with flight instructor, Doug Kinneard. Doug passed away within a couple of days and the Nielson's are currently in recovery from critical burns. One of Stephanie's sister keeps a blog, c jane run, with daily updates on their condition. She and her husband are caring for the couples 4 children in Utah during their recovery. I would encourage you to read through her blog - it is so hopeful and full of love and I am inspired and encouraged by their faith in God and family.

Friends have created a Nie Recovery site on how to help. Joleen and I have come up with a way we'd like to contribute and are asking for your help! We are creating TWO all-original art journals and are looking for your beautiful pages to fill them. One will be sent to the Nielsons and the other will be auctioned on their behalf to help with medical costs.

The theme is "Wishes of Hope". You are free to interpret this theme in any way using mixed media supplies, your words, and or photos. If you'd like your pages to be different please specify which (if you have a preference) you'd like to go to the family. To help stabilize your pages before binding please either fold your pages in half or back them. On the back, please include your name and contact information and if you'd like, a personal note.

Pages need to measure 6"x6" and are do NO LATER THAN September 22nd. Please email Joleen to let me know you'll be sending pages and to get my mailing address. Thanks so much! xo
