Grumpy in California

I haven't blogged for a couple days because I kind of feel like if you don't have anything nice to say, you shouldn't say it at all. I have had a rough couple days. I am sick and feel so lethargic from all the coughing. I don't usually whine about being sick because I think overall I am pretty tough when it comes to that stuff. I guess its the pile of stuff...illness, added to rain, work things (shipping) and the stress of a deadline along with disappointment in people who fail to follow through on commitments. I realize that life happens, but honestly, how long does it take to dash off an email or pick up the phone to say that you will be late sending your swaps, book pages, articles or whatever? I don't buy it. I am a busy Mom and I still follow through on what I commit to do.
Ok, I am done ranting. What I have been doing besides being sick.. working my tail off on Eye Candy. Tonight is the night I am putting it to bed. I just finished up the last of the article layouts, a fun tutorial from Alma Stoller and now I am working on the cover. Hope is helping me with a fun surprise for the "freebie" portion and then tomorrow it will be dropped into InDesign and then off to the printer so I can ship it to Teesha on Monday.

I know I still owe pictures of the studio. I will post them after I manage to refill my tanks and feel a little inspired again. Thanks for listening and thanks for your patience. No more whining in the next post.. I promise!

  1. In moderation a little whine/wine is a good thing. It can help keep us from wallowing in self pity and bring on an nice warm feeling. So you had your little whine today and now you won't need to tomorrow. If you want, tomorrow you can have a little wine.

  2. OH I'm all for some WINE, following Sonya's suggestion! :)

Chin up...thing will get better :) Go play with Hannah and let the worries go. Lately Nathan and I have been playing "RASCH CARS" (race cars = hotwheels) and it's SO FUN to see him pretend!! I LOVE IT. He's developing that imagination and it just cracks me up!

  5. Yes, life does happen of course, but you had you're whine and guess what? It's in the past. Now you can start anew :) Hope you're feeling better and may everything run smoother from here on out. Very pretty images by the way. I am always inspired with creativity when I come here.

  7. Love the eye candy!! Hope to see the issue in person! Hope I am not one of the people causing you to whine, the FFA project is so much more involved than I thought (whine, whine, whine), but it will get to you someday soon(ish)!
