Sweet Laura of Maude & Mozart had asked me to update her bloggie header and if I could help out Kim from ArtDogsLife as well. These are both such fun and generous ladies that of course I jumped at the chance. Laura is still searching for a "new" Maude from the banner pictured below but Kim had some art in mind and I created the banner above just for her.
Kim asked for a vintage look using her ATCs and she said her favorite color was purple. Try as I might I just couldn't get purple to work so I took a cue from her blog (and the creative lisence she granted me) and used a greenish tone. After I sent the first ( and final) draft to Kim, she told me that she loved how I also incorporated the Paris element into it because that had special meaning to her and that she also loved green, so I guess I nailed if for her. I am so happy she likes it and I look forward to seeing what Laura has in mind so I can work on that one as well.
Since I am in digi mode again I'd be happy to create a few more bloggie banners for other blog readers. If you are in need, leave a comment and a way to contact you. Cheers and have a great weekend!
I saw Kim's banner this morning!!!!! It is so great!!!! Heather, you are really great at making these and we are so indebted to you!! I probably would not have kept going with my blog in the beginning save for the inspiration your banner brings every time I look at it!!! So gorgeous! I feel I should owe you lots of money for doing this!! Such wonderful help you provide! I am off to look for another side of Maude this morning!!! Thank you so very much!
ReplyDeleteHeather...you are so sweet and I am still wanting a new banner but I just haven't gotten my act together for you. It's been months since you said you would do one for me and I failed to get you what you needed. I promise I will work really hard this time if you are still up for it !!!! Plus, I love the other ones you have done and now I'm jealous of theirs so I'm going to start working !!!
ReplyDeleteMe too, me too----please!! You are so very talented. I have been able to figure out most of the blog stuff, but I have not been able to figure a new banner. I am so jealous!! Mine is so BLAH! I added music today (sort of), so I am learning bit by bit. I am pretty computer savvy, so a few lessons would work if you don't want to create for me. I will trade art for work---interested???

I would love to have a banner too! I haven't been able to figure out how to get one up on my art and play site!
ReplyDeleteGot my Portals today and feasted on it visually while the family was out of the house! What a treat!
So nice of you to offer! I'd love a banner someday, too! Not super urgent if you're already swamped though. I'll need some time to get some artwork together for it anyway. :)
ReplyDeleteHeather, you do such a fantastic job on these banners. I would love to get any tips or hints for creating a blog banner. Mine are so boring!!! Or, if you want to make one for me, I would LOVE it. Thanks!!!
ReplyDeleteHey, you have lots of interested people in your wonderful work!! and that is no surprise as you do great things with the banners and they make blogging 100% more fun!!!! I want to see what all you create for each person you end up doing a banner for, so could you please be sure to post a link when you do one?? Just what you need, more work!!! We are a lucky bunch of bloggers to have you helping us!!!
ReplyDeleteKim......How much do you charge for your designs? I don't know how to make a banner for my blogspot. I would be interested if I can afford it! Thanks......Linda
ReplyDeleteHeather, Lori's banner is inspiring!! You are so incredible!
ReplyDeleteI would love to trade your banner services for something. . . perhaps you need something quilted artistically?? We met at AFF last June. I went with Lori, I'm also in the Fiber Food project with her. My blog is listed on her site- it's on a small server for longarm quilting professionals. Anyhow, Lori will vouch for me- LOL
