scrap-tastic

While I was down at Joleen's over New Year's I got to look through all her cool scrapbooks. I am one of those guilty of starting to scrapbook after Hannah was born but it got put aside do to lack of interest in the "traditional style" that seemed to be so prevalent then. I know there are many out there that still center everything and put everything on straight lines but that just wasn't me so I lost interest.

I do digitally scrapbook periodically but have never printed anything because it seems like a hassle to send them of to someone who can do the large format. Anyway, I am getting off topic here.

After seeing Joleen's cool books and her artistic style mixed with family photos it suddenly became very REAL to me that I could do anything I wanted. With that discovery and the trip to Paper Tales under my belt I made the decision to start scrapping some of our pictures. I am just kind of going with the flow of what is available in the way of pictures and what I feel like scrapping instead of feeling like I have to document every day and every event. I hope I can at least catch the highlights and have something for Hannah to look at as she gets older.

So I have gotten all my stuff organized and have been working on pages. I did these at Joleen's with the exception of the top one which I did yesterday. I have another one almost done so I am doing pretty well on my goal thus far. Now I REALLY need to get back to the studio purge so I can actually work in there.

  2. I know exactly what you're saying. I am so behind in my family scrapbooks because I realized that the way I was scrapbooking wasn't my style anymore. I need to really catch up!

  3. Hi Heather.
Nice job on the scrapbook pages.
I don't scrapbook but I always thought that if I did that I would do the same as you are doing. Make pictorial memories of the hightlights for them to look at when they are grown up.
Keep on scrapping and have a good weekend.
