burning that candle...

I blame it all on my husband and Michael Phelps... well, and the rest of those US athletes.

Last night I had to take Greg to the hospital as he was complaining of discomfort in his chest for going on 3 days. Men! After 4 hours in the ER they released him after finding nothing. He will have a follow up on Monday with his regular doctor who will hopefully have more ideas and run more tests.

Even after getting home late last night, I could resist turning on the TV. I admit it, I am addicted tot he Olympics. I am tired and worn out but I cannot stop watching. The highlight for me so far as been the Men's swimming relay when the US came from behind to beat the French, but just barely!! It was gratifying because a member of the French team had been trash talking. The look of bewilderment on his face after being beat so closely was priceless. Sometimes karma really is the best weapon.

I have become fascinated with swimming. Something so unnatural to humans and these athletes make it look effortless. World records are being shattered at every turn. Its quite stunning. I am looking forward to the track and field events as a former runner... I think the adrenaline rush is similar to watching the swimming races. Guess I am in for another week of late nights. ;) Whose with me??

I love so much of the summer games it's hard to get to watch it all. Oh...the relay had to be the BESt yet I was watching it live....I can't believe that I didn't wake up Cosme. SO exciting. And the look on the french guys...ha! And now Track and field is next and that is a fave of mine too.
