Lately I have been challenged to step outside of my comfort zone. I have had to tackle 2 projects that involved using NO COLOR.. only black and white. It hasn't been since college that I have been restricted to this basic "color" palette and it has been difficult to get back to the pure design aspect without relying on color....
My first project was one that Amber Dawn invited me to participate in a couple of months ago. She was hosting a black and white charm swap and I said, "no problem" as I signed up. I didn't procrastinate.. really, I just thought and thought about it. I changed my mind and direction more times than I can remember and I probably would have thrown in the towel had it not been for Amber's availability to brainstorm and offer advice. All in all, I am pretty happy with how my charms turned out though they are FAR from what I initially imagined.
The second project that I tackled was very last minute. I actually just found out about it tonight from Shosh and I heard back from the hostess immediately. I created my page for this collaborative diary project. There are still a few pages available but the deadline is next week so if you are at all interested, check it out. Very cool!! Anyway, here is my page so far. I need to look at it with fresh eyes again but I like where it is headed...
