So anyway, when Hope posted about this Shabby Mandala Class I knew it was for me! I am looking forward to getting back into the studio and getting inspired when I get moving on this class. Yay... and speaking of online classes.. I shared late last year that I was taking a virtual journal class from Mary Ann Moss which was fabulous!! So fab, in fact that a small group of classmates decided to submit some of our work to Stampington for publication consideration and they picked us up for a feature in Somerset Memories which is due out October 1!! Very exciting stuff to look forward to. What have you been up to?

mandalas and magazines
Well another Gilroy Garlic Festival has come and gone and I got hit pretty hard afterwards with trying to recover. Its always so tiring and crazy. I am glad its over for another year and I am back to feeling my normal self. I can't believe how fast this summer is going by. The public schools go back in session here in just 2 weeks! It was such a short summer for them.. fortunately we have until Sept 13 to do fun summer stuff and as a post festival treat I signed up to take this fun looking class from Deborah Everton. I remember making mandalas in my college design class and have always enjoyed them and their interesting place in religious history.
