I'm back!

Hey Gang, thanks for the support. Things were pretty stressful with the little's school when I left for my trip. I had hoped that when I returned things would have calmed down but I walked back into a hornets nest of problems and upset parents. We are really trying to fix everything and mend any hurt feelings that may be floating around but it is frustrating.. this is not the environment I signed up for. On top of that, the first day I was back I learned that one of my best blog friends, Karin of Creative Chaos, was diagnosed with breast cancer. She is scheduled to have surgery November 7. I know that the doctors always want to move quickly in these cases but it caught me off guard. I am comforted by the knowledge that breast cancer is very treatable and survivable but I feel bad and scared for Karin and family.
The other thing that really struck me is that Karin is just a bit older than I am. This was her first mammogram and maybe I am being overly sensitive because I am rapidly approaching my 40th birthday and the mammograms that will be in my future. So, all in all, not a great bunch of stuff to return home to. From now, I am going to try to keep my mind full of good thoughts for Karin, support her any way I can and remember all that I gathered at ArtFiberFest...

  3. I just love Karin and I know her humor will see her through this troubling time!!! I'm glad you'll be her guest blogger so we know how things are going after the surgery.
We just all need to rally our well and healing thoughts to her so they tumble over and around her!
